Approval of Minutes: May 10th. 2017 Marty made motion to approve Jim 2nd. All A’s

l will Board asked for the Solar Co. to present a site plan to the planning committee and we will have to change the ordinance to allow if we all agree. Carl is working on sign, permits and installation permit with Ben Boroughs of MDOT, still waiting on approval! He will try and have a picture of the sign for the Township meeting. The Gladwin county road engineer remarked the road for location of the sign (The location is just south of old M-30). Sign Permits to date: 3 -Green Cross, Secord Marina and The Springs, Carl will continue to give out sign permit Fine requirements and the Township will respond. Green Cross has not yet applied for Site Plan Review for his property on Dam Rd or completed the cleanup on West River Drive. Rex gave him all the paper work last fall and the work continues the property. Rex wrote a letter to him on both issues and Carl will mail it today.

OPEN ISSUES: 1- Recordable documents for point of sale: Carl will get a copy and take it to Register of Deeds to be Recorded, the fee is $30.00. 2 – Fee Schedule for fines. 3 – DEQ person out of the Bay City office: Tina Waffa That will act on a complaint from the Township on leaking Septic Systems. (989) 894-6260.) 4-Enforcment of ordinance, how does the board want to handle this? 5 - Marty has drafted a Solar Farm Ordinance for our review. 6 - Rex will get information for certificate of occupancy.

Report from ZA: Becky Sabourin – 15 permits issued this year, several people building things without permits! The town ship board adopted at the MAY MEETING a $150.00 Fine not obtaining a permit prior to starting work / or not getting a permit that is required and a $1,000.00 Fine for not stopping work, until a permit is obtained or ignoring getting a permit. Becky is checking on parcel at 10 White Tail Trail.

Report from ZBA: Rex - Two hearings were held on June 13th. 1 – For a shed that was built without a permit! Must move and get a permit – Denied! 2nd. For a variance to build closer to the water than the required 40’, this was granted with conditions as specified!

New Business: Secord Sign is being built by Hoggers Sign,should be done soon. Carl is waiting on a quote from Grindel Concrete the contractor for base construction and installation. the permit is progressing. Rex had passed out a DRAFT of letter for Jim O’Connell, Carl will send and a site plan review for Article 5 for all to review. Note to All: All signs in Secord Township require a permit – There are no exceptions! Carl will proceed passing out Sign Permit Applications, for all signs in the Township. Carl is making a spread sheet ato track sign permits. We talked about Marijuana Ordinance, we will continue to gather information. Jenny shared information she had gathered. Carl will make up DRAFT Violation Letter.

agenda for next meeting: All to review the Point of Sale Ordinance, to fully understand the meaning and the new point of sale recorded document. Review Marty’s Solar ordinance DRAFT, Sign Ordinance and Rental Ordinance..
