MEETING MINUTES

June 19, 2013

Meeting called to order at 1:00 P.M. By Chairman: Rex Rowe

Announcement: Anamika from E.M.C.O.G. here to review progress of Master Plan and Zoning. Carl received copy for this years property transfers from Kelly and Rex talked with her at township meeting. Carl gave Rex copy of violation letter for Parker. ZBA still looking for one additional member.

Discussion: Anamika gave us update as to where we are in the process and we began reviewing Articles she sent us, never received e-mail with changes suggested, Carl will send again. Sections 4 & 5 were discussed and Rex will send Anamika update with changes. She will then edit and return to us to mark up the Zoning Chart that shows all uses in all zones, this will be returned to her for edit and addition to the ordinance. Anamika will forward a copy of the Master Plan to Carl, so he can make copies for all to review. The point of sale ordinance will contain a 10 year mandatory inspection for all zones. This is an effort to eliminate all septic systems with problems. Marty brought up a problem with setbacks, that would leave less than 5 clearance for fire fighters. Carl will review RV ordinance, for number of allowed units on one lot and time limit. Carl will review the sign regulations for size and type allowed, along with the cost for a permit and renewal time frame. Much decision on all areas of the zoning. We will have five (5) Zones - R-1, R-2, C-1, C-2 and A. There will; be a 300 strip in A zone - That will be for future use to include some light industrial and recreational uses, under special use options, (If approved) We are attempting to be ready for a public hearing in October. The hearing will be posted in the news paper as to date and time and copies of the Master Plan and Zoning Ordinances will be available at the town ship hall / offices, Gladwin library and Gladwin Building Dept. for all to review prior to the hearing.

New Business: Rex will get with Gina to update Maps showing R-1 & R-2C-1, C-2 and A zones.

Home Work for All Members: Review Zoning Ordinances chart when articles 4& 5 have been revised. returned from Anamika We may set up a special meeting for this review, if so all will be notified.
