Supervisor Vince Barry opening with the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag called the meeting to order at 10 AM. Clerk, Kathie Hart, Treasurer, Jim Cooper and Trustees Elaine St. Louis and Colin Combs were present.

Barry advised that the following budget amendments were needed - ROAD MAINTENANCE: Move $6,000.00 out of 101-000-008 (Road Maintenance Revenue) intolOl-446-950 (Road Maintenance Expenditures). Shortage caused by needed culvert repair on West Branch Dr north of Lundy. The new budget figure for 101-446-950 will be $58,400.00 and the amended 2009/10 Fund Balance for Road Maintenance Millage will be $72,114.24. Above transaction will show a balance of $3000.00 in 101-446-950 which will cover the third budgeted road brining scheduled for May 2010.

FIRE FUND: Move $18,204.71 from 206-000-002(Fire Fund Savings) to the following Fire Fund Expenditure Accounts. $10,425.89 to 206-347-984 (Bldg Capital Outlay) to cover the remaining balance due for the new radio tower. $7,778.82 to 206-346-931 (Fire Equipment Repairs) to cover the cost of repairs to the Fire Department Tanker. The revised 2009/10 Fire Fund Balance will be $39,169.36, 206-347-984 budget figure will be revised to $29,425.89 and 206-346-931 budget figure will be revised to $12,778.82.

County Commissioner, Josh Reid, provided an update on the County budget; reviewed potential
Staff reductions; advised that a new 211 number had been made available under Untied Way – this number can be
called to get help for the needy (heat, help with bills etc.); ORV was working well and fielded questions on
recycling.

B&K Appraisal advised that sales studies show decreases in home values of 20% which would decrease SEVs thereby
affecting the Township future budgets.

Planning Commission provided an update on the 12-09 meeting stating that elections had been held and all retained their current positions; discussed the proposed fence and aerator ordinance issues requesting Board input for their consideration prior to another public hearing.

Fire Board Chair reported on monthly runs; provided the Board with 2 proposals for potential usage of the Fire tower
for wireless internet and advised that there would be a Fireman Appreciation Dinner honoring Secord and
Clement Fire Departments at Secord Lake Eagles on February 28th. The Board reviewed the 2 proposals for internet/fire tower and decided that more information was required before a decision could be made.

Barry advised that the 2010 road projects were in progress. A question from the floor arose regarding why the crack seal was not completed this year and the response was that there had been problems with the equipment.

Motion by St.Louis and Hart to appoint L. Hurry Constable to replace T. McCarthy who recently passed. All Ayes. MC

Hart advised that B. Blanchard had been appointed Deputy Clerk as of 1-1-10.

Barry advised that the Board of Review had completed the 2009 reviews.

The Board decided to defer the mosquito contract until the issue could be decided by the voters.

Barry thanked all the helpers who assisted in stuffing the tax bills and newsletter and wished everyone a safe and happy holiday.
