The meeting was called to order at 10:05 AM by Thelma Mitchell, Chairperson. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Roll call was taken.

Minutes of Previous Meeting:  October 14, 2009 minutes were approved as read.

Minutes of Public Hearing:  November 4, 2009 minutes were approved as read.

Old Business:

• Furno/Behrens fence issue: The Zoning Board of Appeals had a Public Hearing on November 2, 2009 to decide the variance requested to leave a 6 foot fence between both properties. The decision was that they could leave up the fence.
• It was decided to table the discussion and work on the fence ordinance until the next meeting. Would like to have the full board present.
• B & K legal description on land south of hall was received. Copies of this report will be made for the board before the next meeting. All the land owners will be notified. It was decided to table this until the next meeting. Discussion on the storage of several pontoons and who owned them. This property is not zoned commercial and a special use permit is needed.
• Jim brought some changes needed to the Zoning Ordinances to the October meeting. They will be addressed in the next meeting.

New Business:

• Public Hearing date was November 4, 2009 for the following Ordinances:
  • Aerator, Bubbler and Free Flowing Well Ordinance                         
  • Decks, Porches, & Balconies Ordinance
  • Wind Energy Conversion Systems & Solar Panels Ordinances

After questions from the people attending the hearing and discussion by the committee members it was decided by vote to present the Ordinances to the Secord Township Board for final approval at their November meeting. At that meeting the Board approved all but the Aerator, Bubbler and Free Flowing Well Ordinance and that will be up to them now.

• The meeting dates for 2010 will be; April 14, May 12, June 9, July 14, August 11, September 8, October 13 and December 8 at 10:00 a.m. at the Secord Township Hall.
• Election of officers for 2010: Colin made the motion that if the current officers were in agreement that they remain in their position for another year. Tony seconded the motion. Thelma will remain as Chairperson, Rex as Vice-Chair and Mickey as Secretary. Rex is also on the ZBA and the board is not sure he can do both. Thelma is going to check if this is possible. If not a new Vice-Chair will be selected.
• Allen Sabourin addressed the board with the request of how much time the board spent on the Aerator, Bubbler and Free Flowing Well Ordinance. He has contacted the Law Office of Karen L. Willing, PC and he said she wants this information. The board looked back in the minutes and estimated the time spent on this ordinance.

The next meeting date is April 14, 2010
